[아메리칸 아이들]의 다섯 번째 시즌에서 4위로 안타깝게 무대를 떠나야 했던 크리스 도트리가 주축이 된 5인조 록 밴드 도트리는 시즌 내내 최고의 인기를 자랑하던 그의 대중 친화적인 매력에 부합하듯 2월 3일자 [빌보드] 앨범 차트에서 당당히 정상을 차지함으로써 각각 1,2위를 차지한 테일러 힉스, 캐서린 맥피를 뛰어넘는 인기를 과시하고 있다. 싱글 차트에서 4위까지 오르며 단연 라디오 친화적인 면을 과시했던 첫 싱글 ‘It’s Not Over’는 익숙하고 보편적인 즐거움을 선사하는 반면, 슬래시가 기타 연주를 들려주는 ‘What I Want’는 ‘80년대를 떠올리게 하는 와일드한 매력을 자랑한다. 그 외의 앨범 수록 곡들 역시 다소 엇비슷하게 들리긴 하지만, 앨범은 전체적으로 팝 팬들과 록 팬들을 고루 만족시킬 수 있는 수준이다. 물론 채드 크루거(니클백)의 그림자를 빨리 걷어버리는 것이 크리스 도트리에게는 시급한 일일 테지만.
